Playlist Generator

one button, 14 songs, no algorithm and no login

A playlist generator without the algorithm

Most playlist generators ask what you like and then give you more of it. That is great for a workout mix, but it keeps you inside the same bubble. This generator does the opposite: it knows nothing about you and draws every song at random from almost the entire YouTube Music catalog.

How the playlist is made

Every officially released recording has an ISRC, its official ID. A server draws random track numbers from a catalog of billions of IDs, reads the ISRC of each track that exists and finds the same recording on YouTube Music. Your press picks 14 of those songs using the exact millisecond you pressed.

Good for

Breaking a music rut, finding artists from countries you never listened to, party games like guessing the country or decade of each song, and producers looking for unusual samples.

How is this different from AI playlist generators?

AI playlist generators guess your taste from a prompt or your listening history, so they mostly return songs similar to what you already know. This one has no profile and no prompt: it draws 14 songs at random from almost every officially released song on YouTube Music.

Do I need a Spotify or YouTube account?

No. The playlist is generated without login. To keep it, open it as a YouTube playlist and tap Save, which needs a YouTube account.

How long does it take?

A few seconds. The songs come from a reserve that the server keeps filling all the time.

Can I choose a genre or mood?

No, on purpose. The point is to hear what no algorithm would pick for you: any genre, country, language or decade.
