A random song generator that is actually random
Most “random song” sites pick from a chart, a genre list or the top results of a search, so you keep hearing the same popular tracks. This one draws from almost the whole catalog: every genre, every country, every language and every decade, from global hits to songs with a handful of plays.
How does it work?
Every officially released recording has an ISRC, its official ID. A server keeps drawing random track numbers from a music catalog with billions of IDs, reads the ISRC of each track that exists and finds the same recording on YouTube Music. Track numbers have nothing to do with genre or popularity, so every song has the same chance. The songs found wait in a reserve of up to 10 playlists, and your press picks 14 of them, which then leave the reserve and never repeat.
Does the moment I press matter?
Yes. Each press mixes 256 bits from your browser's cryptographic generator with the exact second and millisecond of the press, how long your finger stayed on the button and where it touched. That seed chooses your 14 songs.
Which songs can appear?
Almost any officially released song on YouTube Music. Only uploads without an ISRC, such as some user videos, are left out. If the reserve is ever empty, the button draws live by YouTube video ID instead, which reaches a smaller slice of the catalog.
How do I save my playlist?
Tap Open as a YouTube playlist, then Save. It goes to your library and shows up in YouTube Music too. Or use Copy links to share the list.
Is it free?
Yes. No login, no ads, works on phone and computer.
